I started pediatric and neonatology practice in Orange county in 1979 after finishing my pediatric training in Chicago at the Cook County Hospital university of Illinois and fellowship in neonatology and pediatric intensive care at Rush medical school and Children's Memorial Hospital Northwestern University. My pediatric practice is devoted to the advancement of excellence in prevention and  monitoring of growth and development and nutrition with emphasis on cognition, comprehension, environment interaction, socialization, language, school performance, attention problem and teenager behavior of all ages from newborn to adolescence. Medical treatment of illnesses usually starts within the same day of episode that we receive a call and in conjunction with other specialist if needed. We use high profile hospital in Orange county including CHOC for in-patient care. Children are innocent people and deserve high quality care and attention for their illnesses.

I have had opportunity to serve in the capacity of chairmanship of neonatal quality assurance and chairman of the department of  pediatric at Westminster and Fountain Valley Hospitals.

The Message:

Every child has the privilege and the right to develop to the limits of their capacity. It's the great responsibility of the physician, parents educators, public health and social workers to see that child is given the best opportunity to carry out this privilege and this right through the completion.

It is hoped that those people who are involved in caring the children be able to carry out this mission with their full knowledge and expertise, but in cases where care givers are not educated and trained for parenthood and show no interest or take no parts in rising their children or they have their own personal or social problem, or they are very young to understand the responsibility or have psychiatric problems or substance abuser should they be given the responsibility of raising their children?

How much prevention and intervention a social worker or educator should have to intervene in family affair? . When will the time come for parenthood education of couples in recognizing the responsibility to protecting their off-spring from time of   conception through adulthood age, and why that time has not come yet?

We need driving license to drive a car, why don't we require to pass parenthood test before having a baby in order to drive the family in a safe route. Should all pregnant mothers go through the parenthood courses during 9 months of pregnancy?

In our schools today they teach the act of sex, why aren't they teaching the life long responsibilities of sex, pregnancy and parenthood? More enforcing the issues of aftermath of the act of sex. I would like to hear from my colleagues, educators and legislators to share their thoughts and suggestions with me.
